Its official: UTEP snaps its bowl drought in accepting an invitation to the Gildan New Mexico Bowl as a Conference USA representative.

The Miners will face the Utah State Aggies out of the Mountain West Conference who finished 9-4 on the season, winning five out of their last six.  Utah State finished third inside the tough Mountain Division of the Mountain West with a 6-2 conference record, grabbing quality wins over ranked BYU on the road, and Air Force at home.

UTEP of course last played in the 2010 New Mexico bowl when they were blown out by BYU.

Utah State will make their fourth straight bowl appearance, and look for their third straight bowl win in their first ever New Mexico Bowl appearance.

After one of the best turnarounds in the country with a 2-10 finish in 2013, UTEP will be looking for their six bowl win overall, but the first since 1967.
