Game Notes:

----UTEP finished the 2014 home slate with a 5-1 record, with its only loss to Texas Tech (30-26 final). The Miners registered a 5-1 mark in the Sun Bowl during the 2010 season, the last time the Miners were in a bowl game

----Aaron Jones tallied a career-long 72-yard reception in the second quarter that went for a touchdown. Jones' longest score was a 73-yard touchdown run at New Mexico to open the 2014 season.

----Aaron Jones' eight-yard run in the third quarter put him over 100 yards for the game. It's his ninth-career 100-yard rushing game, including the sixth of the season. Jones finished with 147 yards on the night.

----Aaron Jones has 1,233 yards rushing in 2014, making it the sixth-best single season performance in program

history. Paul Smith rushed for 1,258 yards rushing during the 1999 season.

----Aaron Jones registered his sixth multi-touchdown game this season after a seven-yard rush into the end zone in the third quarter.

----After tallying a rushing and receiving score, Aaron Jones has 14 total touchdowns on the season (11 rushing, three receiving). It's the most touchdowns by a Miner since Leilyon Meyers had 12 scores in 2011.

----UTEP rushed for 250 yards on the night. It was the seventh time the Miners rushed for 200+ yards in a game this season.

----UTEP rushed for two more touchdowns on the night, giving the Miners 27 rushing scores on the season. The total is tied for sixth-most in a season. The 2009 squad rushed for 27 scores. The 1950 team tallied 29 TDs.

----The Miners converted 7-of-13 third downs against Middle Tennessee. It was the sixth time UTEP converted 50 percent or better this season.

----UTEP won the time of possession 32:34 to Middle Tennessee's 27:09. The Miners, for the exception of last week vs. Rice, have won the time of possession in every game this season.

----Wesley Miller matched his career high with 11 tackles on the night.

----Maurice Chavis established a career-best six tackles on the night, while Silas Firstly tied his career best with four stops on the night.
