Per a Tweet from Blake Monore, UTEP added to its depth in the trenches as 2015 TE/DE Hunter Thedford is the fourth verbal commit UTEP has received for the class of 2015.
Comanche TE/DE Hunter Thedford (@hunterthedford) has committed to UTEP. Had interest from Texas, Okla St, and more. #utep #miners

Thedford and his family were in attendance last night after his initial October 11th visit was pushed back due to his high school game being delayed because of weather.
Texas A&M offered Thedford a preferred walk-on agreement, and Texas, Oklahoma and Oklahoma State have all shown very high interest.
247 Sports rates him as two-star prospect, and as of October 14th he had 11 receptions for 138 yards for Comanche High School in Comanche, TX.
He played primarily on the defensive side the previous two seasons, before playing full time at tight end this year, it will interesting to see where he will play. I feel he can develop into a very versatile and productive pass rusher, though is athletic enough become a reliable pass target as well.
Thedford joins defensive back J.R. Hall, JUCO wide receiver Elliot Oldham, and offensive lineman Markos Lujan as the first reported verbal commits for the class of 2015.
