Here's a little about the four new players added to the class of 2013:
Lawrence Montegut - OLB/DE - 6'1 210LB - La Marque HS (TX) - 2 Star
Montegut is considered a two star prospect by most recruiting outlets, and was offered by the like of Colorado, Texas Tech, and Rice among others. He was a three year starter at LaMarque High School, and was named the District 23-5A MVP for 2012, and was also considered a second team all state player.
Peter Nonu - DT - 5'11 320LB - Mt. San Antonio College (CA) - JC
Nonu is one who had interest from some high level division I programs coming out of high school, but went the juco route and wound up at Mt. San Antonio College, which also produced former Miners Nick Lamaison and Mike Edwards. In 2012, Nonu recorded 60 tackles, 4.5 sacks, and also had 2 forced fumbles.
Cole Rogers - TE - 6'4 220LB - Dripping Springs HS (TX)
Rogers is a guy with great size for the tight end position. This past season he was considered a top 300 player by Dave Campbell's magazine, and was a first team All District wide receiver. As a senior, he had 992 yards receiving, and 12 touchdowns on 57 receptions.
Chris Thomas - OT - 6'4 320LB - Cisco College (TX)
Thomas is another guy with great size and comes in with a bit of junior college experience. He started at left tackle in 2012 at Cisco college, and was also considered a first team All District player as a senior in high school in 2011.
