The UTEP men's basketball team begins the 2013-14 season with an exhibition against SE Oklahoma State University.  Last season the Miners finished 18-14 and 10-6 in the C-USA, while The Storm finished 15-12 overall and 11-9 in The Great American Conference.

UTEP returns First Team Defensive All-C-USA member Julian Washburn, along with seven other returners and three starters from last years team.

The Miners could be without starter McKenzie Moore and Cedrick Lang who have both been bothered by injuries late last week.  Southeastern Oklahoma State lost 80-60 to UTSA in San Antonio on Thursday, Urald King lead the Storm with 16 points.

As usual in a Tim Floyd exhibition expect to see different lineup and even minutes as the Miners continue their preseason preparations for 2013-14.
