Senior kicker Dakota Warren may be done for the rest of the season, according to his Twitter.
Warren tweeted the above message Sept. 10, just two days after the team's loss to Ole Miss. In the game, Warren missed a 44-yard field goal.
Prior to the game, Warren may have given his followers a hint to his decision as he Tweeted, "Tonight may be the last time I ever step on a field tonight due to injury. I love UTEP, I love my teammates. Don't take anything for granted."
Warren was 0-for-3 on the season in field goals as sophomore Steven Valadez took over in the first two games. Valadez is 1-for-2, with his only make being a 37-yard field goal in the Ole Miss game.
UTEP Athletics has not confirmed the report, yet, and still has Warren on the official roster against NMSU.
****UPDATE****

Warren will not dress for tonight's game versus New Mexico State, but all are holding out hope that he can make a full recovery and return to the field over the coming week's. We'll keep you updated as we find out more.
