The UTEP women's basketball team defeated SMU 68-50 tonight at the Don Haskins Center. The win improves the Miners to 25-2 overall, but more importantly gives them the outright C-USA title. Erika Warren led the way with 13 points, and Anete Steinberga chipped in with 12. The Lady Miners, now 14-0 in Conference USA, will take on Rice at home on Saturday, before wrapping up the conference slate at UAB a week from tonight. Congratulations to coach Keitha Adams and her team on a great accomplishment. Keep up the good work, as the season is far from over.
