As expected, the UTEP football team will be opening up the 2012 season at home against the Oklahoma Sooners. The addition of West Virginia and TCU to the Big 12 made the conference schedule official for Oklahoma, and a previously scheduled game against TCU then became a conference matchup, opening up a slot for the game against the Miners. The game will take place on September 1st, and the time still yet to be announced.
