The Hattiesburg American is reporting that former New Mexico State guard Christian Kabongo is enrolled at Southern Miss and could be on his way to joining the basketball team. Kabongo was suspended for four games after making obscene gestures towards fans in El Paso during the NMSU-UTEP game. Soon after, he decided to leave the program. Golden Eagle coach Larry Eustachy would only confirm that Kabongo was enrolled, and was paying his own way. Eustachy claimed to not know Kabongo's status with the team at this point.
