NCAA Considers Changing Bowl Eligibility From Six to Seven Wins

+

The NCAA is currently considering multiple changes to the current college football format. First, was the changing of the BCS system, potentially to a playoff. And now, there are talks of the NCAA changing the requisite for reaching a bowl to seven wins, up from six. In a year like 2011, that would have meant that 14 teams would have not been bowl eligible. Those teams included four teams from the Big Ten, another three from the SEC, and one from Conference USA...Marshall. These changes, along with others, would potentially take effect in the 2014 season, and could completely change college football as we know it.
