The UTEP Miners knocked off the Tulsa Golden Hurricane 66-54 to advance to their second consecutive Conference USA Tournament Championship Game. The Miners were led by Randy Culpepper who absolutely took the game over offensively. Culpepper finished with a game high 26 points. Jeremy Williams had a huge game as well and finished with 10 rebounds and 4 blocks. Christian Polk also had a nice game and finished with 13 points. Tulsa was led by Justin Hurtt's 17 points.
The Miners will play the winner of the Memphis vs. ECU game that should start in about 30 minutes. Who do you want to play? Do you want a chance to avenge the foul and ejection marred loss to ECU from a few weeks ago? Or do you want the Miners to take on the team we all love to watch lose: Memphis?
