Caught in the Eye: Tulsa Rocks UTEP 57-28 on Senior Night

Senior Night is in the books and G.J. Kinne took over in El Paso as the Tulsa Golden Hurricane dominated the UTEP Miners 57-28.  Kinne was simply stellar.  He completed 19 of 25 passes for 283 yards and had 3 touchdowns.  UTEP was led by a semi-strong rushing attack anchored by Joe Banyard, Leilyon Myers, and Vernon Frazier. Carson Meger went 20 for 34 for 204 yards with two interceptions, one which led to a pick six that all but ended this one in the third quarter.

The Miners, of course, end the season at Central Florida next week.  With a win, the Miners will clinch back-to-back bowl appearances.  The reeling Knights are sitting at 4-6 overall and are currently tied 24-24 in the third quarter against East Carolina.

Many thanks to Duke Keith for rounding up all the post game video from the Sun Bowl. Here are all the post game press conference interviews you need.
