Where has this team been for the last three weeks? I guess we can all just be happy that the UTEP Miners snapped their three game losing streak in style by beating SMU 28-14 in front of about 23,000 fans on Senior Night. The win is especially sweet because the loss killed SMU's chance to become first in the C-USA West standings.
When Trevor Vittatoe is on, he's one of the best. And, tonight he was on. Trevor went 17/28 for 183 yards with three touchdowns and more importantly he had no interceptions. Mike Price needed this one, bad. Give him credit, he had his boys ready to play tonight and the Miners were clicking on all cylinders. Who knew Ian Campbell could run? Analysis comes tomorrow, for now let's all celebrate the fact that UTEP's seniors won their final game at the Sun Bowl and UTEP became bowl eligible. Go Miners!
