Johnson is also considering UNLV and San Diego State. ESPN has a brief, but detailed description of his skill set. Thanks to MinerXfactor at Kyyote's Den for posting this link.
The report comes from NY2LASports.com which I believe is the site that first reported the D'Von Campbell commitment. Lang is a 6'8 post player with very little recruiting information. From what I can confirm, he had a visit with Toledo and had an offer from South Dakota State. He also helped O'Gorman High win the AA State Title last season. More on this as it develops...
The Shiver has a video up that gives Miner fans their first glimpses of our newest guard DeShun Watkins. He's every bit of 6'4 and can definitely handle the ball well... Oh, and in the tradition of Randy Culpepper he can dunk pretty well too.
More on this tonight- very exciting news for Tim Floyd as Ragland is a recruit whose buzz is definitely on the rise. He's a 6'5 small forward from Chillicothe, Ohio. Ragland is the first commit for next year's recruiting class.
Kentucky is in the lead for Daniels, with Memphis, UCLA, and UNLV also in the mix. Tim Floyd is going after the very best in the country. Note that Daniels was going to reclassify, due to family reasons, to enter the 2011 class but he may be eligible for 2010- which means he might be playing D-1 ball in November.
Creighton, VCU, and Wichita State have also offered the 6'8 post prospect.
Watkins, a 6'4" guard is being recruited by UTEP, Kentucky, Missouri, Texas A&M, Oregon State, Kansas, and Iowa State. His uncle played for Tim Floyd at Iowa State. Excerpt: "Missouri plays a good style and press full court a lot. Kentucky and UTEP let you freestyle a lot, and Kansas runs a lot of good plays.
Rivals is now listing that UTEP has given an offer to SG D'Angelo Harrison out of Ft. Bend, TX. For more on D'Angelo, check out this Fort Bend Sun article. Kansas State, Texas A&M, Arkansas, Oklahoma State, and Arizona State are among the other D1 schools who have offered Harrison.
