In The Dig:  The New Mexico State Aggies are flying high as they knocked off the Big 10's Minnesota Golden Gophers on the road Saturday.  It looks like the Aggies have finally found a quarterback.  Meanwhile, the UTEP Miners look set to start redshirt frosh Jay Hall as Nick Lamaison is out with a shoulder injury.

The Dig:   The lead story for UTEP vs. SMU is undoubtedly the switch by June Jones to J.J. McDermott at quarterback.  Why the quick hook against the #8 team in the nation?  Memphis is ranked... well you'll see......  Also, while UTEP had the lowest attendance at a season opener in the Price era Saturday, the UT-San Antonio Road Runners smashed an attendance record in the opposite direction. 

The Road Runners doubled us up in Week 1.  The question is, will the novelty last?

In The Dig:  The dust has settled on Day 1 of the Conference USA Championship.  All of the Top Seeds, except for the SMU Mustangs, advanced.  SMU was stunned by Arsalan Kazemi & Rice.  The Iranian Sensation put on an absolute clinic last night.  As for UTEP, the Miners take on a ferocious Marshall squad who simply couldn't miss from downtown against the Coogs.  Today, we get ECU v. UAB, USM  v. Memphis, Marshall v. UTEP, and Rice vs. Tulsa.  

All that and Joe Lunardi slowly has UTEP & Memphis creeping up the bubble ladder.  Take a Deep Breath.....

In The Dig:  It's a C-USA game night and a class of incredible UTEP seniors will play their final regular season game at the Don Haskins Center in just a few hours.  The Miner Nation is rooting for the USM Golden Eagles tonight as the Eagles host league leader UAB.  A UAB loss in Hattiesburg would be the perfect way to create seeding chaos going into the league's final regular season gameday on Saturday.  Meanwhile, we take another quick look back at the ECU nonsense as ESPN's Pat Forde slams UTEP's Tim Floyd for the ECU ejection heard 'round the world and Duke Keith gives us all a chuckle.
