Congratulations to UTEP"s Churandy Martina (NED) for finishing 6th in the 100M dash at the London 2012 Olympic games. Churandy ran a 9.94. The race was won by Usain Bolt of Jamaica. The former Miner is still set to compete in the 200M dash final at Olympic stadium.
Also, congratulations to former Miner Blessing Okagbare who finished 8th in the women's 100M dash after posting a time of 11.01 in the finals. Okagbare, a native of Nigeria, will also be taking part in the Long Jump, and 4x100M Relay later this week.
