In a very sad end to this Thursday night, former UTEP men's basketball commit Michael Haynes was shot and killed in his hometown of Chicago earlier today. Haynes never played for the Miners, but had recently committed to Iona, and was on his way to achieving his dream of playing division 1 basketball. Haynes was 22 years old. Thoughts and prayers go out to the Haynes family.
