MinerRush: "The Rush" Episode 8 - 7/12/2012
On this episode of "The Rush" we officially introduce Will Vega as a new member of the MinerRush team. Will is the former sports editor of UTEP's The Prospector, and is currently a journalism teacher at Coronado High School. Look forward to him bringing us a new view in covering sports like soccer and softball, in addition to men's and women's basketball, and football.
Topics for this edition of "The Rush" include: the announcement of the field for the 2012 WestStar Bank Sun Bowl Invitational, two UTEP football players (Eloy Atkinson, Ian Campbell) make national award watch lists, what to look out for in the upcoming UTEP soccer season, and we also get a chance to catch up with Miner quarterback Nick Lamaison.
Also, congratulations and good luck goes out to the six former UTEP athletes who will be representing their respective countries in the 2012 Summer Olympic games in London.
