We've all known for quite some time that it would be improbable to keep such a large group of talented players on the UTEP basketball team, while continuing to make additions through the high school and JC ranks. The first player to decide to leave the program was Darius Nelson, who left the team after just the first game of the season. Now, fellow freshman G D'Von Campbell has decided to leave the team as well. Campbell informed his twitter following today that he would not be returning to the team next year, and Coach Tim Floyd was able to confirm that. Here are D'Von's tweets from earlier today. "I had a lot of fun in EP. The fans, coaches and my teammates showed me a good time." Another tweet read, "I've gotten better as a player and person here. But it's time for me to move on. I want to thank you all for everything." Campbell was a highly touted guard out of Arlington's Bowie High School, and the kid has a bright future ahead of him. We wish him nothing but the best.
