Another One Bites The Dust 14-13
CJ Cooper, have yourself a day. The Miners defeated the Southern Miss. Golden Eagles (22-6) by a score of 76-68 in Double Overtime. What a win. The Conference USA Tournament is going to be very, very interesting.

CJ Cooper sparked the comeback. Definitely him.

And he has made me have zero desire to see Mike Perez again.

I agree
POG tonight should be Cooper. Career night for him
Lang had critical defensive plays
But I say Copper because he came out of a slump to lift Miners.
I don't care what anyone says..
DO NOT sleep on us in the conference tournament.
This is going to be fun.
with a fractured foot no less
he is a gritty player. sure to be a Miner favorite for several years
UCF lost tonight

he is a d-bag
would use the same scenario in the big least to argue how deep the conference is. He and his network blow

I know it was brought up earlier, but what a log jam from 4th to 8th place...
I’ve compared everyone’s schedule and ours appears to be the least difficult. I thought if we could somehow battle to a 6-seed we would be in good shape, but what the hell, might as well get that first round bye!
The most amazing thing about this run we’re on is that it has brought some excitement this season headed into March, which I thought would not be possible mid-way through the year. My dad was at the game and said the crowd and game were pretty intense. He also mentioned Eustachy was going crazy as USM was melting down.
Just a great win by the guys, it will be interesting to see how Saturday’s game plays out. Most experts believe UCF’s bubble burst with the loss to Rice…they are on a downward trend while we’re headed upwards. Crazy stuff, good to see the Miner magic back at the DHC tonight.
Dont give up on mike perez
Mike perez is going to be a great player for this miner team and let’s not forget what he did for us at the diamond head classic. Everybody has bad games and some step it up to pick up the slack like what cooper did.
Agreed. Perez needs to work on his turnovers, but...
He IS the Miners leading scorer and he IS playing more consistent than CJ Cooper. We sure were glad for Perez against Memphis when he helped a lot in that comeback win.
No, Perez is as big a part of this team chemistry as any other player, and to say that the team is better with Perez is, well, crazy.
Let’s lay off Perez. He’s a real asset and he’s here for two more years.
Congrats on the big win, UTEP!
You guys seem to be playing solid on this stretch. Lots of craziness going on just before CUSA tourney time – 8 teams within realistic grasp of the top-4 byes. Good luck the rest of the regular season!
GoHerd...
Thanks for the kind words to UTEP. A lot of fans are excited. I’m happy to see this team go from such horrible beginnings to where they are now.
