UCF Knights Knock off #4 UConn in Hoops 69-63
Marcus Jordn had 20 points and 7 rebounds to lead the UCF Knights past the #4 UConn Huskies. The win snapped UConn's 16 game winning streak. This is the kind of win that gives the entire conference more respect- now- and especially come bubble time. Huge win for Donnie Jones and the Knights who trailed by 17 but were able to come back and knock off the defending champs.

I’ll bump it to the front page….It is pretty terrible losing to two Southland Conference teams on our home floor, but honestly did we expect any different? I mean, yes we’ve been spoiled by 25 win seasons, and we always expect to win games like these, but let’s take a step back and realize that we are basically running with a high school team here. 7 freshman, 2 sophomores, and 2 juniors. The freshman are freshman, the sophomores aren’t playing like we needed them to, and the juniors are both transfers. There’s no foundation, there’s no leadership, and more than anything there is no scorer. Those aren’t things that will just happen. It takes time. Hopefully Gabe coming back might provide a little more stability and leadership on the court, but we can’t really expect much out of this season. I know dumbass Muench is already writing his stupid articles, but don’t listen to that. THIS IS A REBUILDING YEAR. PERIOD. Losing to SFA doesn’t change anything. Putting up the lowest point total ever in the Don doesn’t change anything. Those kind of things should be expected. Just sit back, enjoy what you can enjoy, and give CTF the time he needs and deserves. A year or two from now, we won’t even remember the growing pains we had to go through in the 2011 season.
