How about Rice

I mean I realize its still early in the game, but they’ve won two in a row, and have a chance to make it three.

I expect another tough, hard fought battle with Tulsa tonight...

the UAB-UCF game is the most intriguing to me other than ours.
This is most likely the last straw for the Knights.

Definitely

Tulsa leads the series on us overall, and leads it easily in Tulsa. Its become a rivalry also, so it doesn’t really matter who the “better team” is. Its gonna be a dog fight. At the same time, if we come ready to play and take care of business, we can win every game left on our schedule.

Its crazy, UCF should already be done. 5 losses in a row?!?!?!? However, they still have a solid resume other than those 5 losses. If they can pull it together, and finish like 10-6 in conference, they’ve got a shot. Lose today though, and its probably all over.

I know its not C-USA

But good ol Doc Sadler is working on dropping no. 11 Texas A&M in Lincoln. 51-48 1:40 to go.

Are you talking about Jimmer Fredette?

I would say his game is more like Stephen Curry

by jakeprobst on Jan 29, 2011 2:53 PM MST up reply actions

Definitely not like Redick...

Fredette handles the ball much more, can create his shot against nearly anyone and I know both are tremendous shooters, but I would put my money on Fredette anyday in a game of horse.

Looking back at our game with them, Stone was doin a hell of a job defending him right out of the gate, we were up by 11 early, but he got into foul trouble and Jimmer went off, almost got a trip-double.

I realize you dont want him to get off early, but Julyan is so important to us that maybe it was a mistake to put him on Jimmer in the first half. Maybe play him in the second if Fredette is on fire, which is often…either way Julyan going out early really cost us in that one and the Ga Tech game…its really a catch 22 situation, just wish we would have been more competitive up there.

DOWN GOES FRAZIER FREDETTE! BYU upset by NMU at “The Pit”.

by MinerMike on Jan 29, 2011 4:03 PM MST reply actions

U hit it right on the head, just saw the game and it seemed like

Jimmer forced alot of stuff especially down the stretch. Quick question, who do u dislike more….UNM or BYU…for some reason, I cant stand UNM, I was actually pulling for BYU, but makes me sick to say that too haha

Oh man, BYU easy

When I was a kid (80s) I watched games in the “Special Events Center” and that’s where I got my hatred of BYU! Ha ha!

Lots of bloodshed today....

Here’s a casualty list:

  1. UofL upsets #5 UConn in Connecticut
Unranked Clemson (whom Michigan beat) upsets #22 FSU
  2. G’town upsets #8 Villanova in Philly
    Miss State upsets #24 Florida
    Nebraska upsets #13 A&M
    Marquette upsets #9 Syracuse
    NMU upsets #10 BYU
    Penn State upsets #17 Wisconsin

So- SMU beat Rice- okay

Rice isn’t a tough out by any stretch, looks like they gave SMU all they could handle. SMU with 3 straight including wins over Southern Miss and at Tulsa.

this league is nuts.
