Betancourt reportedly had a stellar showing at UTEP's camp discussed the NMSU offer with Scout.com ($).

In other recruiting news, UTEP missed out on Jared Brackens, a 6'2, 205 lb strong safety from North Mesquite. UTEP and Minnesota both offered Brackens a scholarship but he decided to go to Iowa State.
