What do you know about this Eric Moreland kid?
How's it going?
So as I'm sure you all know, Eric Moreland left UTEP after Barbee's exit and has curiously enough wound up here at Oregon State.
Anyway, I've looked online for a little information on Moreland and can't find much, other than a random YouTube workout video and some other blurbs here and there about his length, athleticism, etc.
What can you guys tell us about this kid? Has anyone watched him play? Partied with him Juarez? Helped him steal a golf cart? Taken a test for him under his identity? Would love to know. Hopefully we're all cool after the CBI. If it's any consolation, we played in it again last year and got smoked in the first round... by Boston University... sigh.
Also, do you think he could grow into one of these:
Go Miners! (But mainly GO BEAVERS)

No clue
There wasn’t much hype surrounding his signing. In fact, I follow UTEP sports fairly closely and heard nothing of him for a while until I randomly saw he had been signed. Not much as far as scout.com or espn profiles. UTEP athletics website article said he averaged 10 and 8 as a senior on a team that went 13-0??? Not sure if that was a typo. Apparently Arkansas, Houston, Memphis, and Providence were interested in him.
Thanks for the honest response. It seems like he’s got a lot of upside, but in an age where recruits pictures and videos are all over the net, he’s a ghost. Allegedly our in-state rivals, Oregon, was after him as well. I guess we’ll just need to wait and see what the big deal is, if there is in fact something special there.
13-0 does sound like a typo. It seems like prep teams play 25 or more games no matter what state they play in.
