Rivals ($) is reporting that Tony Barbee recruit Jamison Stearns has asked to be released from his letter of intent with UTEP. The move gives Tim Floyd another scholarship to work with. Here's wishing Jamison the best of luck in the future.

I was looking forward to watching this kid play, he reminds me of Sherron Collins in the way he is built.
If all reports are true...
Bohannon was the gem of this class and is stil committed to UTEP.
Who’s to say whether Tim told Sterns to go another route.
We all knew this would be part of the process, but again Bohannon is the guy i’ve been excited about for some time. As long he stays, im good.
Also hearing Darrious Curry will not be coming to UTEP.
Any new word on Polee? I know he scratched UNM from his list, but UTEP/UNLV are on there. This kid committed to Tim in his sophomore year of high school. He’s the LA player of the year.

Dfw, miner illustrated is pretty sure Curry is going to ask for release. Miners are losing two pretty good recruits, but this gives Floyd a chance to recruit some of his own type of players. Not to say they wouldn’t have been good players at UTEP, but now Floyd gets a jump start in picking his own recruits. Curious to see if Floyd has an Juco players on his list.

Barbee vs Floyd
I doubt we get this Georgia kid to sign, but its interesting to see Barbee and Floyd going after the same recruits now. But did u see the other schools going after him, good to see UTEP in the mix . Dang why does bball season have to be 7+ months away

Maybe since
Calipari already paid out his recuitment alotment to Knight and Gilchrist, UTEP will have a chance to get this guy. We only need to suffer through Miner football season about 8 games until it the real Miner Ball!
