Gameday Central: UTEP vs. SMU News & Notes as Senior Day Approaches

 

• Bret Bloomquist thinks pressure is building on the Miners to win against SMU.  MIke Price says the Miners will play with great confidence.  Bloomquist knows that this is the game of the season,
• College Football News (Scout) thinks UTEP can do better with someone else coaching the squad.  A UTEP loss today, on Senior day, will bring the "Fire Mike Price" calls to a fever pitch.
• Senior Night:  26 Miners will play their final game at the Sun Bowl tonight.  Here is the full list:

• On the Recruiting Field:  ESPN has updated the recruiting ratins for UTEP's new classes in football and basketball.  
• The New One: Scout is reporting that Roy Robertson, a 6'5 DE prospect from South Grand Prairie has committed to the UTEP Miners.  Hopefully, I'll have a more complete write-up on Monday.
• Missed this earlier, but here's video of Mike Price talking to the media after Wednesdays practice.
• Big Loss  All C-USA right guard Rod Huntley is doubtful for today but Tanner Cullumber should be back in and will play right guard tonight.
• SMU Kicker matt Szymanski will not play tonight.
