Predicting Conference USA Basketball Standings
Hello Texas El Paso Miner fans. I am in a group that plays a game to predict the final standings of Conference USA. We assume only one big division. We use Conference USA games only. My early projection thus far is Memphis, UTEP and then maybe Alabama Birmingham. Does that make sense so far? If so, how do I go from there? Your help is appreciated. I need all the advice I can get. Thank you.

Thanks both of you...
How confident are you guys that UTEP can finish higher than everyone other than Memphis? Does the home loss to Pacific cause concern? How good is Southern Miss and UAB? Thanks again.
Thoughtful discussion with a sense of history
After the Legends Clsasic, I feel okay
The Pacific loss was a tough pill, but the first game under a new coach can always lead to a team ironing out some wrinkles. And, Pacific isn’t exactly a slouch- they have been in the postseason lately. I
UAB is a mystery to me, they always seem to start out hot and then fade in conference play. I was impressed with UAB’s win over Arkansas- that’s a good win for the C-USA. But Mike Davis simply doesn’t scare anybody in the C-USA.
USM can be very, very good. At the end of last season, I thought (Other than UTEP), they were the second best team in the league. They have Ole Miss and Cal coming up soon and I think we’ll have a better handle on them after those games. Gary Flowers is an elite forward, one of the best overall players in the league.
